A few more photos from my time in Athens, including what my hotel considered a queen-sized bed to be.

My European Vacation Part I – Athens, Greece
I didn’t get to spend a lot of time in Athens.  Athens was the pickup location for the 3 day tour I was going on.  The picture above is the Acropolis in Athens as viewed from my hotel balcony.  I didn’t have the opportunity to visit it.  I did walk over to the Plaka for dinner.  The area had many restaurants and souvenir shops.  All the shops seemed to sell the exact same items.  I wish there had been more time to explore the area further.  I felt a bit claustrophobic in Athens.  The buildings were incredibly close together and the streets were very narrow.  Since I live in the Prairies, I’m used to wide open spaces.  It would take a long time for me to get used to living in a city like that.

An Isaac Foundation Blog

jackiechanel:

dawnshiver:

As I am sure most of you know, John Mayer is a supporter of and a friend to the Isaac Foundation and Isaac himself.  The foundation posted this blog earlier today which goes right along with my own personal feelings about John and the way he is treated in the media.

In addition to what they said about John, I was fascinated by what I found out about Isaac’s illness.  The disease has is not something I had ever heard until I learned of John’s support for the foundation a few months ago.  I think it is wonderful that there are people (not just John) that support these lessor known charities so they too get the support they need and deserve.  I truly hope they find a cure soon for Isaac and other children like him and in the meantime I will keep them all in my thoughts and prayers.

I know most of you know what kind of person John really is and I (and Maria) thought you might enjoy the Isaac Foundations post.
